Position Summary

The Clinical Lab Associate I, Specimen Processing is tasked with overseeing the daily functions of the Specimen Processing Department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring lab productivity and supporting process lines through activities such as accessioning, processing, automation operation, sample racking, and maintaining cleanliness within the lab, along with other supportive tasks.

This role adheres to all laboratory protocols and procedures while maintaining precise data reporting practices to guarantee consistent and thorough execution of specimen processing. The position operates under the supervision of the Specimen Processing Supervisor or designated personnel.

Work Shifts:

Weekend PM: Saturday - Monday 6 PM - 6:30 AM

Weekend AM: Saturday - Monday 6 AM - 6:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Execute primary duties efficiently and accurately:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Experience with computers, including Internet navigation and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to fulfill the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience in a laboratory setting with sample integrity and handling.
  • Knowledge of CAP, GLP, GDP, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Experience with automation troubleshooting and instrument maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Lean methodologies (Kaizen, Kanban, etc.).

Compensation:

Salary Range: $34,000 - $54,000 annually. This position is eligible for bonuses and company stock upon hire and annually.
