About the Role

Rush Creek Lodge & Spa is seeking an experienced massage therapist to join our wellness team. As a massage therapist in Yosemite, you will have the opportunity to provide rejuvenating and therapeutic experiences amidst the tranquility of nature.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend in-house training to perform all massage services offered at the Spa
• Teachable and open to new ideas and developing new skills
• Maintain a calm and welcoming attitude
• Learn, demonstrate, and adhere to sequence and protocols for each massage service
• Provide professional recommendation of next experience for guests served
• Suggest service enhancements to improve guest experience and treatment goals
• Retain guests by consistently providing excellent customer service
• Encourage local guests to return and maintain a wellness self-care regime
• Communicate guest issues to Spa Management

Requirements

• CMT certified
• Education 500+ training hours
• Spa experience
• Knowledge of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Reflexology, and Hot Stone Massage
• Willingness and desire to learn other massage modalities
• Exceptional people skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Interest in living on-site or in nearby housing
• Independent thinker with strong initiative, but comfortable working within a defined framework
• Leading a healthy, drug-free lifestyle
• Guest service oriented
• Self-motivated (takes initiative) with high standards
• Mature and personable with a relaxed nature

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Frequent walking, twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, sitting, climbing stairs

Ability to stand and move continuously

Lifting up to 50 pounds maximum

Stocking, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning toilets/bathrooms

Working with required chemicals

Shifts of up to 8 hours per day, plus periodic additional overtime hours
