Job Summary

Blythe Construction, a leading construction company, is seeking a highly skilled CDL Class A Tanker Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting liquid emulsion products across North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Virginia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport liquid emulsion products across multiple states, adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical and safety components are in good working order.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
  • Interpret and follow dispatched routing and maps to ensure accurate delivery of materials.
  • Perform pre-shift safety checks and notify supervisors of any vehicle issues.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL Class A license with Tanker and HazMat endorsements.
  • Current medical examiner's certificate (FMCSR part 391.41).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written) and possess proficient telephone communication skills.
  • Pass DOT drug and alcohol pre-employment test.
  • No DUIs within the past 5 years.
Work Environment

This role requires frequent sitting and driving a commercial motor vehicle, as well as periodic standing and walking on hard, level surfaces. The ability to hear and understand speech and other sounds is essential, as is the ability to push, pull, lift, and turn up to 25 pounds.
