Vascular Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vascular Technologist to join our team at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive vascular exams independently, utilizing your knowledge of NorthShore policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform vascular testing independently, adhering to ICAVL standards and NorthShore policies and procedures.
- Conduct arterial, venous, and carotid imaging exams, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Communicate effectively with patients, nurses, and physicians to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient exams and results.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to the ICAVL accreditation process.
- Collaborate with the manager and vascular lab physicians to ensure smooth department operations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest vascular technology and imaging techniques through ongoing education and training.
- Diploma or vocational degree in a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience as a vascular technologist in a hospital setting.
- Graduate from an accredited ultrasound/vascular tech program.
- RVT, CRVT, or eligible certification.
