Mental Performance Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly qualified Mental Performance Specialist to join our team at Wake Forest University. As a key member of our athletics department, you will play a critical role in enhancing student-athlete mental and emotional well-being and sport performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical and performance services to individuals and teams to improve mental health and well-being and athletic performance of NCAA student-athletes
- Engage in counseling-related activities in compliance with all applicable laws and professional ethical standards
- Collaborate with other offices within the athletics department and university to establish policies and relationships to promote a culture of health and well-being
Requirements
- Masters degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling or related field
- One year of practice working with collegiate student-athletes or athletes of a level equivalent to Division 1
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in North Carolina or be license eligible
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
