About the Role:

As a Delivery Driver at Hajoca Corporation, you will be responsible for operating trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations. Your destinations will include job sites, customer facilities, vendor facilities, other Hajoca locations, facilities of other wholesalers, or other locations as directed by management.

Key responsibilities include loading the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise to be delivered, securing the load properly, and ensuring that the necessary equipment to safely unload the merchandise is available. You will also review shipping documentation and ensure order accuracy, unload correct merchandise from the truck and place it where the receiving party wants it, and obtain legible signature for all merchandise delivered per Company policy and procedure.

Additionally, you will collect and secure outstanding payments for all cash sale deliveries prior to releasing the material to the customer, work with customers at the delivery site to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately, and load the truck at other locations with merchandise. You will also provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses discovered in the course of making deliveries, inspect the truck and required parts and accessories to determine safe operating condition prior to departure from the Hajoca location, and keep truck clean of debris in cab and body.

Requirements for this role include being able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs, possessing a proper and valid driver's license, and having a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy. You must also be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work and again at least every two years while employed and performing this job function.

About You:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and safety-conscious individual who is able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers. You should be able to remain calm and function effectively in stressful, unexpected, and/or emergency situations, and be able to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment and computer-related systems used in the delivery process. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for this role.
