We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perinatal Nurse Specialist to join our team at the University of Florida Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting the well-being of mothers and their newborns.

Job Description

As a Perinatal Nurse Specialist, you will work closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Developing and implementing individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and progress.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in perinatal nursing.
  • A valid license to practice nursing in the State of Florida.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire or transfer.
  • PALS certification within 6 months of hire or transfer (for Code Blue team).
  • NRP certification within 6 months of hire or transfer (for Code Blue team).
  • STABLE-sugar, temp, airway, BP, lab work, emotional support requirement.
Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • A BSN degree.
  • Professional certification in perinatal nursing.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and holidays.
