Classroom Therapist

Canvas Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Classroom Therapist to join our team. As a Classroom Therapist, you will work with students in a K-5 level 3 special education classroom, providing individual, family, and group therapy sessions. You will also work closely with local schools, County Social Services, and other mental health providers in the community.

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to students in a K-5 level 3 special education classroom.
• Develop and implement treatment strategies for children with severe emotional disorders.
• Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for students.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and develop treatment plans.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff to ensure a smooth and successful therapeutic experience.

• Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or clinical counseling.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Psychologist (LP), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
• Experience working with children and families, particularly those with severe emotional disorders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
