Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Coordinator to support the provision of patient care at Deborah Heart and Lung Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating unit clerical activities, facilitating intra and interdepartmental communication, maintaining accurate records, and transcribing orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate unit clerical activities to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Facilitate communication between departments to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information.
- Transcribe orders accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Unit Coordinator or in a related clerical/secretarial role.
- Completion of a Unit Coordinator course or equivalent training.
- High School Degree or equivalency.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to use standard office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Unit Coordinator course and/or secretarial and computer training.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting.
Work Schedule: 80 hours per pay period, with a 3:00 pm-11:30 pm shift.
