Compensation for this position ranges from $19 to $21 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct general maintenance and repairs across various disciplines, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and more.
  • Manage work orders effectively, prioritizing urgent requests to minimize guest disruption.
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance calls.
  • Carry out assigned preventative maintenance tasks diligently.
  • Follow safety protocols and hotel standards.
  • Assist with additional projects and tasks as directed by management.
  • Support other maintenance staff as needed.
  • Participate as a member of the Fire Alarm Response Team.
  • Engage in OSHA/Safety programs and contribute to the Hotel's Emergency Evacuation Team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities, demonstrating the capacity to fulfill the essential functions of the role:
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all team members and hotel staff.
  • Exhibit a friendly and professional demeanor towards department heads.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in approach.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints.
  • Strong communication skills with guests.
Physical Requirements:
  • Most tasks are performed indoors in a controlled environment, but the ability to work in extreme temperatures is necessary.
  • Must be capable of standing and moving efficiently for extended periods.
  • Ability to navigate limited spaces and reach various areas of the hotel promptly.
  • Physical tasks may include bending, stooping, and lifting.
  • Regular lifting of up to 25 lbs, with the ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Exposure to various physical conditions and atmospheric elements is expected.
  • Manual dexterity is required for operating equipment and performing maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs.
  • Ability to obtain necessary licenses and certifications as required.
  • All employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance in line with Spire Hospitality standards.
