Surgical Technologist Per Diem

The Surgical Technologist Per Diem will be responsible for preparing surgical procedures by selecting supplies, instruments, and equipment, performing surgical counts, maintaining sterile techniques, assisting surgeons, and decontaminating clinical equipment. This role demands good communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle stress in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare surgical procedures by selecting supplies, instruments, and equipment.
- Perform surgical counts, maintain sterile techniques, and assist surgeons.
- Decontaminate clinical equipment and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Surgical Tech certification from an Accredited program or 1 year of experience in lieu of certification.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- 3-6 months of orientation/training depending on experience.
