Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering high-quality care in post-acute facilities as a Clinical Nurse Specialist
  • Collaborating with physicians and other staff to discuss care options and monitor outcomes
  • Creating care plans and determining the best options in conjunction with medical staff and residents
  • Setting up and overseeing the use of medical equipment
  • Collecting samples, such as blood and urine, for laboratory analysis
  • Administering appropriate treatments and medications to residents
  • Ensuring compliance with nursing standards and facility policies
  • Engaging with residents and their families regarding optimal care options
  • Supervising and mentoring nursing and other staff as necessary
  • Documenting patient histories and interventions accurately
  • Assisting with incident investigations
Qualifications and Skills
  • Current state license to practice as a Clinical Nurse Specialist
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities
