Position Summary: We are in search of a dependable and proactive Property Maintenance Technician. This role is essential for ensuring the cleanliness and overall aesthetic of our properties, with a focus on maintaining common areas and facilities in excellent condition. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong communication abilities, and the capability to manage various maintenance tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cleaning and Upkeep:
    • Perform sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of communal spaces including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and elevators.
    • Ensure windows, doors, and other glass surfaces are thoroughly cleaned.
    • Remove waste and recycling from shared areas, ensuring proper disposal methods are followed.
    • Identify and report maintenance concerns such as burnt-out lights, leaks, or damaged fixtures.
  2. Resident Interaction:
    • Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and visitors, addressing inquiries or concerns in a timely manner.
    • Assist residents with requests related to the cleanliness and usage of common areas.
  3. Supplies Management:
    • Oversee the inventory of cleaning supplies and request replacements as necessary.
    • Utilize and maintain cleaning equipment and tools effectively.
  4. Additional Duties:
    • Support the setup or arrangement of common areas for events or special occasions.
    • Carry out other responsibilities as directed by the Property Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a janitorial or maintenance position is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for occasional evening or weekend work if necessary.
