Job Summary:
The Patient Care Specialist II ICU Medical Nights is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced ICU environment. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, assisting with daily patient care activities and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of patient care as a team member by performing patient care tasks under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Perform properly and legibly documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
- Participate in obtaining a nursing history. Reports abnormalities to RN.
- Assist in identifying needs and developing/modifying plan of care
Requirements:
- High school graduate
- Experience working with patients in an acute care setting
- Florida Nursing Assistant Certification, Certified Patient Care Technician OR Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with comparable hospital experience, OR Florida RN license
- BLS certification
