We are looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) with 1 year of experience to join our team in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing radiopharmaceutical agents and administering them to patients.

As an NMT, you will be responsible for providing technical support to physicians and researchers, and ensuring the environment is safe for patients and staff. Your tasks will include:

  • Attaining required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians
  • Transferring, positioning, and instructing patients in preparation for procedures
  • Operating the scanner or gamma scintillation camera
  • Performing procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist
  • Providing assistance to patients during procedures
  • Ensuring the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Understanding and using the McKesson PACS system

Requirements for this position include 1 year of experience, BLS, NMT National certification from the AART or NMTCB, and state-specific licensing when required. The ideal candidate will be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

TNAA Job ID #1106581. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
