Key Responsibilities as a Trainee:
- Engage in a cutting-edge climbing skills training program
- Collaborate closely with a supportive team
- Perform line clearing and tree trimming for utility clients, including pruning, limb trimming, tree removal, and managing fallen limbs near power lines and structures
- Climb trees for manual trimming and removal around electrical lines
- Utilize, maintain, and operate various tools and equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts
- Clear debris, remove brush and limbs, and apply chemical treatments for vegetation management
- Ensure the safety of employees and the public by identifying and mitigating hazards in the work area while promoting safe work practices
Qualifications:
- At least six months of experience working near utility wires as a ground person or similar role
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, operate machinery, and endure challenging weather conditions
- Willingness to obtain necessary training and certifications, including tree identification and licenses
- Acquire First Aid and CPR certifications
- Pass pre-employment drug tests and skills evaluations
- Hold a valid Driver's License
