Job Summary

The Veterinary Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the quality of veterinary care for all pets. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to clients and pets, ensuring a safe and effective hospital environment.
• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in ensuring quality veterinary care for all pets.
• Educate clients on pet health needs, hospital services, and other issues.
• Maintain proper and complete medical charts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
• Ensure the safety of pets, clients, and associates by utilizing safe restraining techniques and following standard protocols.

Requirements

• Leadership skills, with the ability to mentor other paraprofessionals in the hospital.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and clients.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical charts.
