We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Bon Secours. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will provide high-quality patient care, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyze data, and create individualized plans of care.
- Administer medications safely and effectively, adhering to state practice and Bon Secours policies.
- Serve as a patient safety advocate, participating in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage and prioritize tasks, ensuring efficient delivery of care.
- Apply knowledge of contemporary emergency nursing practice and future innovations.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or compact licensure.
- BLS certification (basic life support) or obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS, NPR, TNCC.
- 1 year of RN experience, with recent ED or critical care experience preferred.
Our Emergency Department is a dynamic and challenging environment. You may be exposed to high-stress situations, physical altercations, and verbal abuse. You will be required to use physical restraints and may be exposed to hazardous substances or body fluids.
Physical RequirementsThis role requires manual dexterity, shift work, and the ability to maneuver patients. You will be required to hear alarms, telephone, and audio recordings, and reach above shoulder level. You will also be exposed to dust, fumes, and potential electrical shock.
