Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Nurse Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing care to patients utilizing the nursing process, including the therapeutic use of self. This role will also involve assisting in the development and operations of the Cooper Moorestown Multidisciplinary site, which focuses on the acute/immediate care needs in the Moorestown and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients utilizing the nursing process, including the therapeutic use of self.
- Assist in the development and operations of the Cooper Moorestown Multidisciplinary site.
- Participate in cross-training in other specialty areas.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement projects.
- Responsible for the facilitation and coordination of safe and comprehensive care to all patients presenting to Moorestown Multidisciplinary sites.
Requirements
- 1 year OR RN experience required; 1 year of specialty experience preferred.
- OR RN - must have completed Peri-Op 101 or possess at least 3 years' experience.
- BSN preferred; Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.
- Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
- Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
- CNOR Preferred
Special Requirements
- The OR Nurse Coordinator requires critical thinking to consider factors related to patient safety, effectiveness, and cost in delivering care.
- Effective resource utilization by the Nurse Coordinator requires coordination with the Clinical Director to plan or change course of action for improved continuity of care and outcomes.
- Requires expanded problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making at a supervisory level, including excellent communication skills and the ability to delegate effectively and supervise the work of other team members.
