Forestry Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Forester to join our team at Independent Stave Company.

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $45,000 to $65,000 per year, including incentives. • Develop and implement forest management plans to ensure sustainable forestry practices.
• Conduct thorough forest inventories and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor forest health and proactively address potential threats to maintain ecosystem balance.
• Collaborate with landowners to apply and maintain conservation practices that benefit both the environment and their properties.
• Serve as a mentor and trainer for forestry staff, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
• Work closely with other professionals, such as wildlife biologists and land managers, to achieve shared goals.
• E nsure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
• Effectively manage budgets and resources to optimize outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in Forestry or a related field.
• Strong understanding of forest management principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with GIS software and other forestry tools.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
