Overview
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Control Evaluator to enhance our capabilities in Joint Network Engineering and Emerging Operations. This position is critical in evaluating the cybersecurity posture of systems within the Risk Management Framework. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge in application, system, and network security to ensure the protection of vital information.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate strategies to assess and quantify risk, compliance, and assurance initiatives.
- Prepare documentation outlining security vulnerabilities related to system operations.
- Review adherence to IT security protocols.
- Conduct thorough security authorization assessments for system deployments.
- Validate the implementation of security software and systems.
- Assess security vulnerabilities during system modifications.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of relevant experience along with a Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, particularly with related frameworks.
- Certified Information Assurance Technical Level III certification.
- Practical experience with compliance and vulnerability assessment tools.
- In-depth understanding of Assessment and Authorization methodologies.
- Familiarity with security controls validation and threat mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of network access protocols and identity management.
- Must be a US citizen with Top-Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security or a related discipline.
- Previous experience as a Cybersecurity Control Evaluator.
- Expertise in drafting security reports and performing penetration tests.
- Understanding of risk management practices within the US Air Force.
Physical Requirements
This role may require working in diverse environments, including both office and industrial settings. Candidates should be capable of climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
