We are seeking a highly qualified Italian Language Instructor to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching all levels of Italian language, as well as occasional English-language courses in our Intercultural Studies program.
Key Responsibilities- Teach all levels of Italian language, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced courses
- Develop and implement curriculum for Italian language courses
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement departmental goals and objectives
- Participate in departmental and university-wide service activities
- Master's degree in Italian language, literature, or culture, or a closely related field
- Near-native fluency in Italian
- Experience teaching undergraduate courses in Italian language and culture
- Ability to use technology effectively in the classroom
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ph.D. in Italian language, literature, or culture, or a closely related field
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation
- Experience with assessment and evaluation of student learning
- Experience with departmental and university-wide service activities
