Job Title: Healthy Families Family Support Specialist

IRCO is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthy Families Family Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Early Learning Services department, you will play a vital role in supporting families with young children, promoting healthy child development, and strengthening family bonds.

Job Summary:

The Healthy Families Family Support Specialist will provide parental support and education to families with newborns, helping them build skills and confidence in raising their children in a healthy and nurturing environment. This role involves initiating and maintaining regular contact with families, providing guidance on parenting, child development, and connecting them with local resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct home visits to provide parenting guidance, child development tips, and emotional support to families.
  • Establish case plans with goals, objectives, and activities to meet individual families' needs.
  • Prepare curriculum, activities, referrals, and other materials for home visits.
  • Record weekly client observations, activities, and demographic data as required.
  • Act as a liaison and advocate between families and other community agencies.
  • Complete monthly reports and submit data as requested.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of child development and parenting principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
