Crisis Specialist Position Summary

The Crisis Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for coordinating follow-ups with clients and developing a network of community crisis support. This is a full-time position with a weekly work schedule consisting of 3-4 overnight shifts, including a Saturday or Sunday.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA law, CARF accreditation standards, and Maryland State Regulations.
  • Carry out the Crisis Stabilization Plan developed by the treatment team.
  • Carry out triage on emergency mental health calls for the agency's on-call system.
  • Complete all required documentation and reports in a timely fashion.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Full valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
  • Formal training or significant experience in crisis interventions.
  • Experience with conflict resolution and de-escalating techniques.
