Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Surgery ICU team at the Cleveland Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients and their families, ensuring the highest level of quality and compassion.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring effective and timely interventions.
  • Monitor and document patient condition, including vital signs, medications, and treatment plans.
  • Evaluate and update patient care plans to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to approved nursing protocols.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs, ensuring a smooth transition to home or other care settings.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, addressing cultural and special concerns.
  • Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing education and clinical nursing study.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) for Critical Care areas.
  • One year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting.
