Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while coordinating all functions within the unit/department during the designated shift.

In collaboration with other management team members, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values to support exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with other management team members.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support facility efforts to enhance engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Recommend and implement actions related to training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to ensure a competitive organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of current nursing experience.
- Experience as a Clinical Coordinator with demonstrated proficiency.
- Proven leadership ability with the skill to educate others.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
