Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Groundhand Laborer to join our Operations team at Southwire Company, LLC. As a Groundhand Laborer, you will be responsible for performing general labor tasks on job locations, setting up and dismantling work sites, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks on job locations
• Set up and dismantle work sites
• Flag traffic and signal operators when moving equipment
• Hand dig entrance and exit pits, and locate existing utilities
• Comply with proper safety standards and expectations

Requirements

• Able to perform physically demanding tasks
• Valid driver's license
• CDL Class A license required
• Able to lift, push, pull, and carry at least 75 lbs. for a distance of 300 feet
• Able to work some nights and weekends
• Strong mechanical skills
• Ability to work outdoors
• Ability to read and write English
• Pass a drug screen and background check
• Knowledge of electrical utility work preferred

Working Conditions

This job operates in a field environment, requiring extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and standing. The role also works in inclement weather conditions.
