Job Description

This Senior Distribution Designer role involves working closely with clients to understand their utility needs and develop customized design solutions. You will be responsible for creating detailed plans and specifications for underground distribution systems, including cable and connector design, trench and conduit design, and material selection.

Responsibilities
  • Work with clients to gather information and develop utility plans and specifications.
  • Create detailed designs and calculations for underground distribution systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology from an accredited college or university required.
  • 10+ years of underground distribution engineering experience, preferably with California utilities or a consulting engineering firm.
  • Strong understanding of utility design principles and practices, including load calculation and voltage drop analysis.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $91,000-$96,000. Kiewit offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
