Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical therapy sessions according to the physical therapy plan of care, providing quality rehabilitative care to patients as outlined in the treatment plan.
- Complete all required documentation according to regulatory agency and departmental standards, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient progress.
- Notify the physical therapist of patient progress and suggest changes in the plan of care when indicated, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Assist in discharge planning by ensuring patients have the necessary equipment at home and family members are aware of a home exercise program, promoting a smooth transition to post-acute care.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Georgia.
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant studies from an accredited educational institution.
- At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, with new graduates from accredited programs considered.
- Preferred licensure or certifications in physical therapy or related fields.
- Preferred educational background in physical therapy or related fields.
- Preferred experience in physical therapy or related fields.
