Lead Educator Responsibilities

  • Implement the mission of LEEP Dual Language Academy
  • Uphold the belief that every student can achieve high academic standards, providing unwavering support regardless of challenges
  • Engage in self-reflection and instructional practice analysis to meet academic objectives
  • Dedicate time weekly to professional development, including personalized coaching and collaborative planning
  • Design student learning experiences aligned with both long-term and short-term educational goals
  • Evaluate assessment data to inform and tailor instructional strategies
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to exchange best practices and ensure mastery of educational standards
  • Maintain strong communication with families through regular updates and conferences
  • Select and implement effective teaching methods and resources
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions
  • Administer and assess required student evaluations
  • Meet regular attendance expectations
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal
  • Availability for occasional weekend and evening commitments

Qualifications

  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Childhood Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Valid New York State teaching certification or enrollment in a certification program
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a lead educator in an urban setting
  • Demonstrated success in fostering high achievement in the classroom
  • Alignment with LEEP's core educational values and philosophy
  • Ability to build effective relationships with students, families, staff, and the community

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 annually
