Clinical Education Facilitator PRN

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Education Facilitator PRN to participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical orientation and educational programs that improve the delivery of high-quality care by direct care providers. The successful candidate will provide instruction related to organization-wide clinical learning and professional development initiatives utilizing current evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and research utilization.
- Support integration of research into practice.
- Create an environment that promotes the development and use of critical thinking skills.
- Assimilate current research findings from various disciplines into practice.
- Review literature and share relevant information.
- Collect data relevant to program evaluation.
- Incorporate adult learning principles into the processes of planning and implementing educational offerings.
- Utilize innovative methods to optimize learning styles.
- Manage group dynamics to maintain focus and cooperative learning.
- Facilitate learning and socialization.
- Adjust content and teaching strategy based on learner's knowledge, expertise, and response.
- Promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Use appropriate measurement methods to assess and document performance of personnel.
- Coach and provide feedback to improve performance.
- Participate in curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collaborate in the design and implementation of learning activities to meet identified needs for orientation and professional development programs.
- Collaborate in the assessment and evaluation of educational programs based on needs of the learner, patient, and organization.
- Collaborate in the revision of activities based on assessment and evaluation data.
- Include regulatory and organizational standards in the implementation of educational programs and initiatives.
- Incorporate strategies to meet specific needs of patient populations.
- Facilitate a variety of educational offerings.
- Collaborate within the department and organization.
- Recognize need for and seek assistance from various experts related to program content.
- Share resources to achieve organizational and program goals.
- Maintain good communication and relationships with relevant departments.
