Position Title: RN - Infusion

Key Responsibilities: The RN Infusion operates under the supervision of the Infusion Therapy Manager or another appointed leader. This role requires a solid understanding, proficiency, and clinical expertise in infusion therapy methods, which encompass implanted ports, peripheral and central venous catheters, PICC lines, and non-chemotherapy/immunotherapy treatments. The RN Infusion is tasked with delivering safe patient care while being mindful of age-specific and culturally sensitive requirements. This position involves addressing the biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients and their families, ensuring comprehensive care in complex scenarios. The RN Infusion is expected to perform job duties independently and engage in self-improvement initiatives. This role primarily operates within an outpatient infusion center, although alternative environments may be encountered. There is potential for advancement towards achieving Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Competency, leading to the RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician position. This is a temporary assignment with a standard schedule.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active RN license (Georgia or Compact)
  • BLS certification (AHA)
  • Chemotherapy certification
  • NIHSS certification
  • Experience in direct patient care
