About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analog Servo Motor Electrical Engineer to join our team at Collins Aerospace. As a key member of our Protected Communications Systems (PCS) business, you will be responsible for designing and developing analog servo motor control systems for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop analog servo motor control systems from inception to layout and assembly
- Follow hardware design requirements, observe design checklists, and adhere to accepted processes
- Prepare design documentation and work within a team environment
- Coordinate with Layout, Systems, Mechanical, Test, FPGA, and Software engineers
- Perform design analyses, including timing, power, signal integrity, and motor control
Requirements
- Proficient in schematic design, including parts selection, schematic capture, library management, and parts lists creation
- Experience with EE design tools, including MATLAB, SIMULINK, Keysight ADS, and Mentor Graphics
- Ability to take a design concept from the block diagram or requirements level and develop a complete hardware design and verify via test and integration
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with design of antenna pedestal assemblies and/or robotics
- Knowledge of IPC standards for PCB design and fabrication
- Knowledge of IEEE and MIL standards
- Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite
