Key Responsibilities:

The Financial Planning Analyst will report directly to the VP of Finance and will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial objectives. This position involves:

  • Collaborating with the VP of Finance to establish annual financial goals that align with the company’s strategic vision.
  • Overseeing compliance and risk management processes within the financial team.
  • Preparing comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, as directed by the VP of Finance.
  • Assisting in compliance audits and ensuring adherence to established financial policies and procedures.
  • Evaluating the financial performance of the organization in relation to long-term operational goals and budgets.
  • Providing insights and recommendations for both short-term and long-term growth strategies.
  • Engaging with various departments to identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and analyzing monthly financial results and offering actionable recommendations.
  • Developing and maintaining both monthly and annual operating budgets.
  • Preparing and presenting monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and cash flow forecasts.

Accounting and Compliance:

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and communicating accurate financial statements.
  • Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Managing the month-end closing process and reviewing procedures to eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Enhancing financial systems and processes to support organizational goals.

Financial Management:

The Financial Planning Analyst will also:

  • Manage cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds.
  • Maintain strong banking relationships and strategic partnerships.
  • Utilize financial models to provide insights into the organization's plans and budgets.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Engagement with the VP of Finance will be crucial for:

  • Developing short-term and long-term financial plans and projections.
  • Representing the company to financial partners and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
