Responsibilities:

  • Oversee nursing care delivered by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), and other staff members.
  • Review and enforce all nursing protocols and systems.
  • Assess and enhance the systems that ensure high-quality resident care and staff performance.
  • Employ a systematic approach in the nursing process to deliver personalized nursing care.
  • Contribute to resident assessments (MDS/CAA's) and the formulation and execution of care plans.
  • Evaluate residents' reactions to nursing interventions.
  • Understand the rationale for medication and treatment usage and administer as required.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state nursing license is mandatory.
  • Current CPR certification and additional nursing specialty certification preferred.
  • Experience in management or supervisory roles within long-term care or geriatric nursing is advantageous.
  • Background in wound care or infection control is desirable.
