We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide supervisory leadership, efficient management, and creative problem-solving in department-related plant operations.
- Production Planning and Control: Coordinate and provide technical, quality, and production leadership to assigned teams to meet quality, schedule, and cost goals.
- Process Improvement: Support process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve inventory turns, and reduce manufacturing losses.
- Team Development: Coach and counsel team members regarding individual performance and development needs, and practice sound human relations and communications skills to motivate the workforce.
- Operational Excellence: Analyze and diagnose machine and tooling problems, and take corrective measures to minimize downtime and interruption of schedules.
- Safety and Quality: Achieve highest safety levels in the plant, and employ Six Sigma rigors to all functions within the department.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of prior supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills and Qualifications: Prior experience in CNC Machining, Heat Treating, Grinding, Dimensional Inspection, Shipping and Receiving is preferred. Strong team building/coaching skills, knowledge of manufacturing operations and practices, and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment, lift 35 lbs. when needed, and stand and walk throughout the workday.
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to government military contracts.
- Export Control Regulations: The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident, and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
