We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Briarcliff Skilled Nursing Facility in Carthage, TX. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for our residents while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare meals according to standardized recipes and production guidelines, ensuring proper food handling and storage procedures are followed.
- Safe Food Handling: Understand and follow guidelines for food handling and storage, including raw and prepared foods, and maintain accurate temperature records.
- General Food Service Duties: Serve meals in accordance with facility methods, clean and sanitize kitchen and equipment, and ensure proper storage and disposal of food and supplies.
- Experience: One year of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, hospital, or similar institution.
- Certifications: Food handlers' card or Food Safety Certification, as required by local ordinance.
- Skills: Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness, and personal hygiene, as well as effective communication and teamwork skills.
