Position Overview:

The nurse will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to address the needs of patients effectively.
This position may involve delegating specific care tasks to team members under their supervision, adhering to nursing practice standards.Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing is required. New hires must obtain a BSN within five years of employment. Certification in BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) is essential.
Registered Nurse with knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex healthcare needs across various life stages. Preferred membership in relevant professional organizations. Up to one year of clinical experience in nursing is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients and their families, completing necessary documentation as per unit guidelines.
- Communicate assessment findings to other healthcare providers as appropriate, including health counseling and education needs.
- Develop care plans based on assessments, standards of care, and desired outcomes, updating them as necessary with input from patients and families.
- Create both short-term and long-term goals in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team, including discharge planning.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment, respecting patient autonomy, dignity, and rights while being sensitive to diversity.
- Recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately, completing patient assignments and documentation within designated timeframes.
- Provide training and education to other staff, serving as a resource in specialty areas through knowledge and skills.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans based on patient outcomes and document responses to care, including educational efforts.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to adjust care plans as needed.
- Supervise delegated care tasks performed by other healthcare team members.
- Perform technical skills in accordance with policies and accepted standards, safely administering medications and monitoring their effects.
- Take on organizational and educational responsibilities, identifying areas for professional growth through self-assessment and peer review.
Working Conditions:
Frequent bending, consistent concentration, and continuous learning are required. The role involves various physical activities, including lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
