As a Production Assistant, your primary role will involve managing blending, packaging, and storage tank equipment essential for material handling and movement within the production framework, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, Standard Operating Procedures, and production timelines.
Your responsibilities will include operating and overseeing equipment and processes to manufacture high-quality chemical intermediates and final products according to a specified operational plan. You will provide troubleshooting expertise, identify equipment and process issues, and communicate findings effectively. Additionally, you will make necessary adjustments to respond to process variations or enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate blending, milling, storage, and packaging machinery to prepare and transfer materials from production to finished goods inventory. Ensure safe and efficient handling of raw, in-process, and finished products.
- Assist the Production Operator in monitoring equipment and processes to ensure the production of quality chemical intermediates and finished products as per the operational plan. Identify and communicate equipment and process improvement opportunities.
- Conduct inspections of finished and in-process products, performing sampling and testing as necessary.
- Adhere to GMP, IHQ-7, and ISO regulations for the packaging, handling, and storage of materials, including quarantined, released, and expired goods.
- Subdivide and deliver batch ingredients while following good manufacturing and safety practices based on production needs. Efficiently receive and store raw materials as per SOP, and manage loading/unloading of trucks to minimize material damage.
- Ensure compliance with DSM Safety Standards, including manual material handling, proper use of personal protective equipment, and knowledge of hazardous materials and emergency response procedures. Recognize and rectify unsafe practices and equipment in the work area.

- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing production setting.
- Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

- Valid unrestricted driver's license.
