Role Summary
Under the guidance of the Clinical Manager, the Wound Care Specialist RN is accountable for overseeing the clinical operations of the Wound Care Center. Key responsibilities include:
- Utilizing organizational and planning skills to implement and evaluate patient care.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored care plans for patients in the Wound Healing Center.
- Ensuring adherence to established standards of nursing practice within the Wound Healing Center.
- Collaborating with physicians to formulate and execute effective wound treatment strategies.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
This role requires compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as adherence to professional and ethical standards.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Maryland.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in medical-surgical nursing, with a preference for candidates with wound care experience.
