About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our team at Stanford Health Care. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering outstanding healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of technical activities associated with screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, including positioning patients and operating digital mammography equipment.
  • Assist radiologists with mammography procedures, such as core biopsies and fine-needle aspirates, and ensure compliance with regulatory mandates for mammography.
  • Perform quality assurance on digital equipment and maintain accurate records of patient information and exam results.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
Requirements
  • One year of progressively responsible experience in mammography or a related field.
  • Current certification in mammography (CRT and MAM) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, and to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as they relate to mammography, as well as computer systems and software used in the functional area.
