Production Team Lead Opportunity in Stockton, CA

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Production Team Lead to join our team in Stockton, CA. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our production department, ensuring that production goals are met and exceeded.



Job Summary

The Production Team Lead will be responsible for coordinating the workflow of production employees, assisting in the forecasting and planning of workload, and providing a disciplinary program as specified. Additionally, you will inspect products to verify conformance to specifications, direct set-up and adjustments of machines, and maintain production schedules and estimate worker hour-requirements.



Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day workflow of production employees.
  • Assist in the forecasting and planning of workload for various areas of the production department.
  • Under the direction of the Director of Manufacturing provide an equitable disciplinary program as specified according to the T & C.
  • Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct set-up and adjustments of machines.
  • Maintain production schedules and estimate worker hour-requirements for completion of job assignment, including adjusting work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Interpret safety policies/practices to employees, including enforcing safety regulations.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, and/or assist employees in solving work problems.
  • Initiate and/or suggest plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
  • Maintain time and production records.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Assist in the training of various key-operating areas of the production facility.


Requirements

  • Knowledge of GMP's, SOP's, and SPC's.
  • Previous experience supervising multiple production employees.
  • Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels.
  • Confident and conscientious individual with the desire to make a difference in the organization.
  • Deadline driven in a challenging, evolving & fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership in order to be proactive in solving problems and troubleshooting issues.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is helpful for interacting with team.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Candidate should also be performance and goal oriented and must have a high professional demeanor and appearance.


Education and Work Experience

  • The minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or other related field. A demonstrated experience in food manufacturing; or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience is a large plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising a team of production employees.


What We Offer
