Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Identification and Safety
    • Verify patient identity using two (2) patient identifiers
  • Imaging Procedures
    • Select proper techniques and protocols for individual patient needs
    • Complete all documentation, including exam history and paperwork
  • Equipment Maintenance and Safety
    • Maintain equipment, workspaces, and supplies in a state ready to serve patients
    • Follow BVHS safety and infection prevention practices
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Use effective and positive communication skills with patients, families, medical staff, and colleagues
    • Provide exceptional service to all customers
Requirements
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Licensed by the State of Ohio as a Radiologic Technologist (ODH)
  • BLS Certification within 30 days of hire
  • Adheres to BVHS radiation protection, monitoring, and exposure policies
  • On-call duties require the associate to arrive at the facility within 30 minutes after being contacted by hospital personnel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in radiography, computed tomography, and/or mammography preferred but not required
Physical Demands

This position requires a full range of body motion with intermittent walking, lifting, bending, climbing, squatting, kneeling, twisting, sitting, and standing. The associate must be able to lift 50 pounds or more to assist with direct patient care.
