Job Title: Senior Controls Engineer

EnerSys Delaware, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex control systems to ensure efficient and safe production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control systems for manufacturing equipment, including PLC programming, HMI configuration, and Ethernet-based I/O device integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and health regulations.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and resource coordination for assigned projects, utilizing project management tools and methodologies.
  • Research, design, procure, implement, test, and monitor new mechanical and/or electronic systems, technologies, and equipment to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing teams, ensuring adherence to standard performance specifications and monitoring performance variances.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Electrical or Electronic Systems Engineering.
  • Minimum of two years of project-based engineering experience, with a minimum of three years of experience considered as relevant work experience, absent a BS degree in engineering.
  • Knowledge of control wiring and safety circuit design, with the ability to design these systems from scratch.
  • Experience with Fanuc robot programming, including IR vision training, and Motoman robot experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to various levels of the organization and outside agencies.
