Job Title: Machinist

At Siemens Mobility, we're seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of machines, including milling machines, ROBO drills, broach machines, and die set ups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain machinery to ensure efficient production and high-quality output.
  • Review blueprints, instructions, and samples to ensure accurate production.
  • Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
  • Select the appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
  • Plan the proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
  • Monitor production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
  • Maintain inventory of completed products.
  • Check output for quality assurance and document or discard defects.
  • Identify the need for and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workstation.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly.
  • Working knowledge of safety protocols.
  • Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred.
  • Excellent coordination and mechanical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in math.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
