Forklift Operator Job Description

At Macpower Digital Assets Edge, we are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe operation of a forklift or other heavy equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise around the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily safety checks on the forklift to ensure it is safe to operate.
  • Check fluid levels, including oil, water, and fuel, before operating the lift.
  • Ensure packaging lines have empty pallets available and inform the supervisor of pallet inventory.
  • Remove palletized bags from production lines and place them on the stretch-wrapper.
  • Operate the stretch-wrapper and change stretch film as required.
  • Place palletized bags in inventory and ensure they are stored neatly without damaging other inventory.
  • Participate in plant cleanliness by restacking, picking up trash and debris, and washing equipment.
  • Read BOLs and place the correct quantity and SKU on carriers' trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Communicate any changes to BOLs to the Dispatcher and office personnel.
  • Perform physical inventory counts of finished goods as required.
  • Meet quality and quantity standards.
  • Ensure the safe operation of the forklift and maintain fluid levels.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to drive a forklift.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb on and off required equipment.
  • Ability to sit for long periods.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to read and write English and/or follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/rainy weather.
  • Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays.
