We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Tradesperson to join our team at General Motors. As a Mechanical Tradesperson, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems, including pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
- Install and test new equipment and systems, ensuring proper operation and safety.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems, using a variety of tools and techniques.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and technicians to complete complex projects and tasks.
- Develop and implement procedures for maintaining and repairing equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate in Mechanical trade (millwright, pipefitter, toolmaker, machine repair) or six (6) years of documented experience in a Mechanical trade.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials, with a maximum weight of 50 pounds.
- Experience with planned maintenance systems and predictive technologies.
- Experience with industrial robotics, automation, and conveyance systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
