Maintenance Director

The Maintenance Director will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building's systems and equipment. This includes performing a variety of tasks to maintain the building's physical plant, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and other general maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general skilled building maintenance tasks, including receiving work orders and completing duties assigned
- Monitor and record water temperatures throughout the facility
- Monitor and maintain heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment
- Monitor and maintain electrical systems, including changing and/or replacing fuses, breakers, light bulbs, and other components
- Monitor and maintain emergency generator sets and transfer switches
- Monitor and maintain fire alarm, smoke detection, and fire sprinkler systems
- Monitor and maintain nurse call systems and related components
- Maintain refrigeration systems, including ice machines, walk-in coolers, and freezers
- Maintain dietary equipment, including steam tables, dish machines, and other appliances
- Maintain door hardware and general building hardware
- Maintain equipment and furniture, including repairing wheelchairs and other mobility aids
- Maintain plumbing systems, including repairing and replacing lavatory and toilet components
- Maintain interior and exterior finishes, including repairing drywall, plaster, and other surfaces
- Maintain roof systems, including cleaning debris and preserving warranty
- Receive, unload, and place heavy furniture and equipment, as well as move and relocate existing items
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 2-5 years of building maintenance or related experience, or special training in the skilled trades
- Knowledge of general building maintenance practices and procedures
- Knowledge of local and state building codes
- Knowledge of safety requirements and regulations
- Ability to operate various types of mechanical equipment
- Ability to repair minor mechanical equipment
- Ability to work with and around others
- Full range of body motion, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and other physical activities
