At REI, we're passionate about helping people explore and enjoy the outdoors. As a Store Sales Specialist, you'll play a key role in creating exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth in our stores.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert product knowledge and recommendations to customers, ensuring they find the perfect gear for their outdoor adventures.
  • Maintain a visually appealing store environment, including merchandising and visual displays, to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Engage in ongoing sales and service training to stay up-to-date on REI products and services, and promote them to customers.
  • Support store operations, including receiving and processing products, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Follow REI's loss prevention and safety procedures to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment.
  • Work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.
Requirements:
  • Previous retail experience, preferably in an outdoor or sporting goods store.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
