Vocational Nurse

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a skilled Vocational Nurse to join our team. As a Vocational Nurse, you will provide individualized nursing care for patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Your primary responsibilities will include collecting assessment data, participating in planning, executing interventions, and contributing to the evaluation of outcomes. You will also communicate with patients and families to ensure they are educated on their care plan and planned treatments.
Responsibilities
Collects assessment data using observation, palpation, and auscultation per department guidelines of care
Communicates and contributes data collected to the Registered Nurse for analysis and interpretation
Coordinates patient care activities, workflow, and patient progress with other healthcare team members
Documents patient and family care needs through department/entity guidelines of care and policies and procedures
Implements the plan of care per department guidelines, referring practices outside of scope to the Registered Nurse
Requirements
AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional certification
California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification
Vocational Nurse IV Therapy/Blood Withdrawal Certification (required within 6 months of hire)
1 year of CNA or LVN experience in a clinical setting (preferred)
Experience in the respective department (preferred)
